Bus Exhibition for Celebrating the 75th Anniversary of the Founding of the People’s Republic of China

Additional bus exhibition evening sessions on October 19 and 20

In view of the overwhelming response, the Transport Department will introduce additional evening exhibition session from 9:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. each on 19 and 20 October 2024 (i.e. a total of two sessions) for more members of the public to join the celebration.   Registration for the additional sessions will start from 12 noon on 4 October 2024.

Franchised buses play an important role in the public transport system in Hong Kong and the average daily franchised bus passenger journeys were about 3.67 million in 2023.

To share the joy of the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, a bus exhibition will be organised by the Transport Department of the HKSAR Government with support from franchised bus companies at Victoria Park on Hong Kong Island from 19 October (Saturday) to 22 October (Tuesday) 2024.  The exhibition will feature retired buses and in-service new energy buses signifying the development of franchised buses in Hong Kong since 1949, as well as bus service related items for visiting and photo-taking by the public.

Tickets are free of charge.  Prior registration for admission is required.
